Host Listing Policy

Last Updated: November 2, 2026

At Let Us Stay, we provide a platform where property owners, property managers and accommodation providers can showcase their properties and connect directly with potential guests across Canada.

We believe finding guests and advertising accommodations should be straightforward and affordable. Our platform makes it easier for hosts to reach travellers without requiring them to pay listing fees or booking commissions under the Basic plan.

This Host Listing Policy explains the requirements for advertising a property on Let Us Stay and the responsibilities that come with maintaining a listing.

By creating, submitting or maintaining a property listing on our platform, you agree to this policy.

1. Our Role as a Platform

Let Us Stay is an online property discovery and inquiry platform. We provide tools that allow hosts to advertise accommodations and guests to find properties and contact hosts.

We do not own, operate, manage or control the properties advertised on our platform. Each property is independently owned or managed by its respective host.

Hosts are responsible for their accommodations, listing information, rental conditions, guest arrangements and services provided.

Let Us Stay facilitates the connection between hosts and potential guests. We do not act as a property manager, rental agent, landlord or accommodation provider.

2. Who Can List a Property?

We welcome property listings from:

  • Individual property owners.

  • Property managers.

  • Rental and accommodation businesses.

  • Authorized representatives acting on behalf of property owners.

You must own the property or have the necessary authorization to advertise and manage it.

By submitting a listing, you confirm that you have the legal right and permission to offer the accommodation for rent.

3. Free Property Listings

Creating and maintaining a Basic listing on Let Us Stay is free.

The Basic plan includes:

  • A property listing on our platform.

  • Property descriptions and photographs.

  • Pricing and availability information.

  • Guest inquiries through the platform.

  • Email inquiry notifications.

  • Access to inquiries through your host dashboard.

There are no listing fees or booking commissions associated with the Basic plan.

Optional promotional services and additional paid features may be offered separately. Any applicable fees and conditions will be communicated before you choose to use those services.

4. Property Listing Requirements

All properties advertised on Let Us Stay must be genuine accommodations that are available for rent or stay.

Hosts must provide complete, accurate and relevant information, including:

  • A clear and descriptive property title.

  • An accurate property description.

  • The property’s correct location.

  • Genuine photographs of the accommodation.

  • Bedrooms, bathrooms and sleeping arrangements.

  • Maximum guest capacity.

  • Available amenities and facilities.

  • Rental prices and additional charges.

  • Availability information.

  • House rules and applicable restrictions.

  • Relevant check-in and check-out information.

Listings should provide sufficient information to help potential guests understand the accommodation before contacting the host.

We may request additional information or corrections before approving a listing.

5. Accuracy of Information and Photographs

Hosts are responsible for the accuracy of all information submitted to and displayed on their listings.

You must ensure that:

  • Photographs accurately represent the advertised property.

  • Descriptions do not misrepresent the accommodation.

  • Advertised amenities and facilities are available as described.

  • Guest capacity reflects the property’s permitted occupancy.

  • Pricing and additional charges are clearly communicated.

  • Availability information is kept reasonably up to date.

  • Important restrictions and rental conditions are disclosed.

You must have the necessary rights or permissions to use all photographs, videos, descriptions and other materials submitted with your listing.

Let Us Stay provides the space to display this information but does not independently guarantee every statement or representation made by a host.

6. Property Ownership, Licences and Legal Compliance

Hosts are solely responsible for ensuring that their properties can legally be advertised and offered for rent.

You must obtain and maintain all licences, permits, registrations, approvals and permissions required by applicable laws and regulations.

Depending on the property and location, these may include:

  • Municipal short-term rental licences.

  • Zoning and land-use permissions.

  • Condominium or homeowners’ association approvals.

  • Landlord or property owner authorization.

  • Fire, building and safety requirements.

  • Applicable provincial and federal requirements.

Rental requirements vary between municipalities and provinces. It is your responsibility to understand and comply with the rules that apply to your property.

Let Us Stay does not obtain permits, inspect properties for regulatory compliance or determine whether an accommodation is legally eligible for rental.

7. Listing Review and Approval

Every property listing submitted to Let Us Stay receives an initial administrative review before publication.

Our review may include checking:

  • Whether the listing appears genuine and is not spam or a duplicate.

  • Whether the title and description are clear and appropriate.

  • Whether photographs appear relevant to the property.

  • Whether essential listing details have been provided.

  • Whether information requires correction or clarification.

We may approve a listing, request changes or decline publication.

The initial review is intended to maintain the quality of information on our platform. It is not a physical property inspection, legal compliance assessment, background investigation or guarantee of the host or accommodation.

An approved listing does not mean that Let Us Stay endorses, recommends or guarantees the property.

Any additional verification process or Verified badge is separate from the initial listing approval.

8. Pricing, Availability and Rental Conditions

Hosts are responsible for setting and maintaining their own rental prices and conditions.

You must ensure that your listing clearly communicates:

  • Nightly, weekend, weekly or monthly rates, where applicable.

  • Seasonal or date-specific pricing.

  • Minimum stay requirements.

  • Cleaning fees and other additional charges.

  • Security deposits, where applicable.

  • Applicable taxes and mandatory costs.

  • Cancellation and refund conditions.

  • Check-in and check-out arrangements.

  • Other important rental conditions.

Any additional charges or restrictions must be communicated to guests before they agree to a rental arrangement.

Hosts are responsible for keeping their availability information reasonably up to date.

Displaying availability on Let Us Stay does not constitute a confirmed reservation.

9. Host Responsibilities

As a host, you are responsible for the property you advertise and the arrangements you make with potential guests.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining accurate listing information.

  • Keeping prices and availability updated.

  • Responding to guest inquiries.

  • Communicating rental conditions clearly.

  • Providing the accommodation as described.

  • Maintaining the property’s condition and facilities.

  • Ensuring appropriate safety arrangements.

  • Managing reservations and rental agreements.

  • Arranging payments and security deposits.

  • Handling cancellations, refunds and guest concerns.

  • Maintaining appropriate insurance coverage.

  • Complying with applicable laws and regulations.

You are responsible for fulfilling the commitments you make to guests, including any arrangements agreed upon outside the platform.

Let Us Stay does not supervise the operation of listed properties or manage the services provided by hosts.

10. Guest Inquiries and Direct Arrangements

Let Us Stay currently operates as an inquiry platform.

Guests can contact hosts through the inquiry forms available on property listings. Inquiries are delivered through email notifications and the host dashboard.

Hosts and guests communicate directly to discuss availability, pricing, rental terms and potential reservations.

At this time:

  • Let Us Stay does not collect or hold booking payments.

  • Let Us Stay does not confirm reservations on behalf of hosts.

  • Hosts and guests arrange payments directly.

  • Rental agreements are made directly between the parties.

  • Hosts manage their own deposits, cancellations and refunds.

Submitting an inquiry does not constitute a confirmed reservation.

Let Us Stay is not a party to agreements or financial transactions arranged directly between hosts and guests.

11. Property Condition, Safety and Insurance

Hosts are responsible for the condition, maintenance and operation of their properties.

You must ensure that your accommodation meets applicable health, safety, building and rental requirements.

You are also responsible for determining and maintaining suitable insurance coverage for your property and rental activities.

Let Us Stay does not inspect, maintain, repair or supervise listed accommodations. We do not provide property insurance, guest insurance, damage protection or guarantees regarding property conditions or guest safety.

12. Prohibited Listings and Activities

The following are not permitted on Let Us Stay:

  • Fake, fraudulent or misleading property listings.

  • Discriminatory, abusive or inappropriate content.

  • Spam, deceptive advertising or misuse of the platform.

  • Activities intended to mislead, defraud or harm other users.

We reserve the right to investigate reported concerns and take appropriate action.

13. Listing Suspension and Removal

Let Us Stay may review, restrict, suspend or remove a listing when necessary.

Reasons may include:

  • Inaccurate or misleading information.

  • Violations of this policy.

  • Failure to provide requested information.

  • Legal or regulatory concerns.

  • Activities that may negatively affect the platform or its users.

Where appropriate, we may contact the host and request corrections.

However, we may suspend or remove a listing without prior notice when circumstances require immediate action.

We may also restrict accounts associated with repeated or serious violations.

14. Limitation of Platform Responsibility

Let Us Stay provides the online platform through which hosts advertise accommodations and guests discover properties and make direct inquiries.

The host remains responsible for the property, its condition, accuracy of the listing, availability, rental terms and services provided.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Let Us Stay is not responsible for:

  • The ownership, condition, quality, suitability or safety of listed properties.

Hosts are encouraged to maintain appropriate insurance, use written rental agreements and follow responsible business practices.

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any responsibility or liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

15. Listing Content and Usage Rights

Hosts retain ownership of the photographs, descriptions and other materials they provide.

By submitting content to Let Us Stay, you grant us permission to display, reproduce, format and use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain and promote your listing and our platform.

This may include displaying property information on our website, search results and relevant promotional channels.

You confirm that you have the necessary rights and permissions to provide this content and authorize its use.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Host Listing Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our platform, services, listing requirements or operating practices.

Updates will be published on this page with a revised Last Updated date.
